BJP Known for Toppling Governments, Breaking Parties: Dinesh Gundu Rao
Belagavi: Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has accused the BJP of being notorious for toppling and destabilizing governments through ‘Operation Kamala’. He remarked that the BJP cannot tolerate a stable government.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Gundu Rao responded to the BJP’s claim that the Karnataka government would collapse after the Deepavali festival. He confidently stated that the government is stable and that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will continue in his role. “There is absolutely no one else in the race to become Chief Minister,” he asserted.
When asked if the CM’s future would be decided soon, Gundu Rao firmly responded, “Nothing will happen tomorrow. There’s no question of deciding the CM’s future. Siddaramaiah will remain as Chief Minister, and there is no one else in contention.”
Addressing concerns about potential legal challenges, Gundu Rao stated, “There won’t be any adverse decision in court. The only issue is whether the Governor’s order for an investigation is right or wrong. It’s not that the CM has done anything wrong. Siddaramaiah hasn’t committed any mistake or misused his power.”
The Minister also criticized the Governor, accusing him of being a puppet of the Central Government. “Petitions regarding corruption against Kumaraswamy, Shashikala Jolle, and Murugesh Nirani have been sitting in the Governor’s office for months without any action. But as soon as a private complaint was filed against the CM, the Governor issued a notice. This clearly shows the Governor’s biased mindset,” Gundu Rao concluded.
